5. What is the difference between how southern and northern blacks were treated?
The difference between how the Northern and Southern black were treated, for starters the very few blacks lived in the north. Because, blacks were "free" for the northern states have abolished slavery after the American resolution. When they are free you can't legally do anything to them, but as for the south if you own them you can punish them however you please.

Assimlation/ Resistance
Best Policy for the Tribes to Pursue
Policy's name: Assimlation
Economic Reason: If Indians selling their land to the Americans, then they could make money off of it. But if you choose resistance, there could be a chance of going to war; then loosing the war, making no money. Also, following the Americans could lead to trade, helping each other with their needs.
Social Reason: The tribes will most likely join together to try and keep their culture and religion.
Political reason: By assimilating it shows cooperation, which the government might trust the chief to help with choices.
Worst Policy for the Tribes to Pursue
Policy's name: Resistance
Economic Reason: Indians could go to war and lose all their land, make no money, and will most likely have a lot of their own dead across what used to be their land.
Social Reason: The Indians will be forced to become christian or catholic. Losing their ability to practice their religion, and culture.
Political Reason: From the very beginning they were resisting the government anyway, so the government won't be there for the Indians anyway.
